are you using a 3 pin connector in the engine bay, or a 16 pin connector under the dashboard?

Do you have a green flashing light on the interface box?

The flashing light indicates that the box has 12 volt power from the car. You must have the green flashing light.

Next.

When you run the software, can you select the interface and press "Next"? Do you see this screen:-

if you can see a list saying
Petrol engine
Diesel engine
Transmission
ABS
Airbags
etc

then this is good news.

Next.

1. To connect to the engine ECU

Plug the round three pin connector into the white socket near to your engine ECU.
Switch on the ignition.
Select Petrol Engine, press Next
Select MEMS1.6, press Next

The interface should log into your engine ECU.

2. To connect to the 5AS

Plug the round three pin connector into the green socket near to your engine ECU.
Switch on the ignition.
Select Alarm & immobiliser, press Next
Select 5AS, press Next
Select one of the sub functions, such as Information, press Next

The interface should log into your alarm.

If this does not work then please tell me what happens.

The part where to select engine/srs and so on are fine, also it shows the different ecu-type's...

It does like u say, until it actuly should connect, it just say fail, and try selcting fast/slow or both haven't made a difference...

Still updating windows... it's and older laptop with windows 7 but it have worked fine on a catherham with mems 1,6 and mgf air-bag system....

Wonder if "we are back" at some problem with usb-driver/port? But i rather bad at "knowing, adjusting and controling" the funktions of that sort of truble.... -There were some sort of problem there first time using it....

Try hooking it up now it has updatede some window...

When Pscan is not connected to laptop: "Old FTDI Driver:03.02.10 Please upgrade" is displayed under window.
With Pscan connected: "A9048ZMIN" in window.
3Pin in. Ign on. those system and Mems 1,6 And now it will open Mems 1,6 ok. and readout faul memory and data....

:? hmm.... getting a little confused, becourse now it's working.... All data is reading out fine now... Witch is super, just wonder why....

Is it sensitive for the timing of ignition on ? Or some other thing i have done faulty ?
just for the record, It is not every day i use Pscan"system-reader"
