Unfortunately those versions of RAVE don't cover any 800 before 1996

The Haynes manual for the 820 (1988-1995) has some pretty decent wiring diagrams. The newer book may go later than 1995 but I bought mine when I got my first 800 many moons ago.

cheers people - i have a copy on order :)

Im adding a DIY turbo controller to my ZS and wont to slice into an wires inside the cabin ideally rather than engine bay and would be handy to see where the TPS goes.

Ref the tickford - ah right, im sure i have an 800 haynes from when i had a 220 turbo - needed info on the T16 at the time, best find where it is!

TPS wires go straight from ECU to TPS.

it seems that the TPS loom goes back inside the big grommet under coolant reservoir - im guessing it comes back outthe passenger side grommet -to- ECU?

Rave doesnt list a TPS connection for an MG ZS TD ?

Looks as though it does it from the throttle pedal ?

I don't think that's a sensor at all. That's a throttle switch. Only the pedal is used to sense the throttle position.

I can help with giving you the info on that if you think it can be used.

The diesels are drive by wire. That is the TPS and it goes back to the ECU (there is no other input to tell the car to go faster when you want to otherwise!). They have been known to give issues on some models (wires chafe inside the protective sleeving giving no throttle response when driving in wet weather!)
