Whats is worth?

94 220 Rover Coupe Turbo
Mot Feb 17
87K

Owned by myself since feb 2014, previous to that another rover enthusiast for approx 8 years

Car no longer used as much and with current interest seeming high for coupes perhaps now is the time for someone else to spend some time and money bringing this car back to the high levels it once sat at.

Standard 15" Turbo alloys in excellent condition
195/55/15 Uniroyal Rainsport 3 tyres all with over 5-6 mm tread at least
Full ash grey leather spec in great condition inc driver seat/bolster
Battery to boot
Currently on std intercooler
T25 with factory bmv boost control
Gas flowed and ported head ( no paperwork for this ) which was recently rebuilt
Cam seals recently replaced
Alloy " stebtek" throttle body plate thingy
Have std colour front and rear rub strip inserts in black also
Have std "chrome" spec grill too
Rear brakes are 262mm setup
Braided brake hoses front and rear

Bad points
Rust areas starting to show
1. roof above n/s/r 1/4 glass
2. n/s/r arch at rub strip and lower arch
Paint "bubbles starting to form"
3.Drivers door size of 5p see images
4.n/s/f wing starting to bubble see image
5.o/s/r arch at bumper ( worst area) paint has failed and rust area visible
6.Slight blow from exhaust gasket at the usual end ( bolt/thread needs to be re helicoild/time sert
7.Power steering pump lazy at low speeds/low rpm
8.Car has lived and a daily in scotland for the last two years
9.Abs has been deactivated ( Sensor wiring at some corners has been cut as was tired of constantly renewing sensors
10. Fuel tank has been dented resulting in gauge not showing lower than 1/4
11.Jap Arch extensions fitted , some of them have started to flake in terms of paint, with one actually detached itself from the n/s/f wing, i still have some paint left and the arch lips in most of its entirety that could be re attached

Good Points
1.no smoke
2.still has cat fitted
3.stainless cat back magnex system
4.boost gauge pod built into a pillar
5.Can come with digital innovate boost gauge
6.oe air box cleaner setup with k&n panel filter
7.Gearbox fully operational
8.Skuk2 lower rear control arms
9. Front poly bushes : tie rod arm/brake reaction , drop links, d bushes, lower dog bone, upper rear dog bone
10.Rear poly buses : trailing arm, top shock bush, lower lateral link and upper lateral links, d bushes, rear anti roll bar links
11. can come with aftermarket upper rear brace too
12.excellent tyres
13.excellent wheels
14.Made bang on 200bhp and 220 lbft torque at factory boost levels ie under 12psi under 10k ago

Average to good paint condition, with the odd scuff or scratch
Extremely honest appraisal of car and its current condition

Car is located in South Edinburgh

Oh man

Don't do it.

I was thinking last night when will another coupe pop up and bang.

If you keep it do you have plans for a restoration or is this merely leading to a sale.

Sadly these things seem worth more broken, you know this.

Value wise maybe £1000-£1200 it's poor isn't it. Keep it 5 more years locked away and dry and you should be able to double that at least.

Look at brm' s now

I have scrapped 2 and sold 1 for £400

That now seems a silly move.

As these cars become rarer the price inevitably goes higher

Either

But I would like to take the track day car thing to next level

And one or both cars will need to go

Did I mention it's a FDH?

Will that generate any genuine discussion on this morgue of a forum

Rover coupe owners club is the same

Is it because it's in Scotland?

Looks great Greg, I'd be keen but have too many at the moment.

£2k all day long.
