Yeah services are southwaite services southbound

Moto Hospitality Ltd
Southwaite Motorway Services Area
M6
Broadfield
Southwaite
Carlisle
Cumbria
CA4 0NT

10am is vitial for a decent time and to avoid most M6 friday car park like traffic

IE leaving 10-10.15am

Hotel venue tbc pending booking prices etc

If the price doesnt come down from the high levels it is at the moment, then room sharing will be a perfect way of bringing down the costs

Provisional destination
Premier inn Bromsgrove Central
Birmingham Road,
Bromsgrove, B61 0BA

Event kicks off 10am on the Saturday 12th, its a really easy 10 min drive from the preferred premier inn of Bromsgrove Central

POL Event
Postcode for Cofton Park is B31 2BQ

Dave, see if BazR will do us a banner or some art work for this thread, you ask since i have been ex communicated like bain from the dark knight

List of participants
1) Dave_214_SEi, Dave, MG ZS.
2) Big Gee, Graham, Rover 45
3) ghall2004, greg , Rover 220 Coupe Turbo

Do I have to be Scottish ;)
I live in cockermouth in Cumbria and I'm trying to work out between going the night before again staying at my GF's in cheshire and meeting the .org merseyside meet who I met at about 7:30am at keele services last year getting there for about 9:30.

What time do you estimate being there?

In regard to digs, I've been informed of a premier in that's literally 5-10 mins walking distance (1.1 miles) from cofton park. Will stick a pic up of it in a mo.

Good Shout dave

But having spent two pol's now at bromsgrove central, its great for access to the high street which has loads of pubs, food places, etc

just my 2p

is this from your brummie pal the plasterer?

i am not for one minute saying i am forcing everyone to go where i go etc

but i consider the bromsgrove central to be all round winner location wise for what turns out to be a good weekend away?

once numbers are more concrete then perhaps at the next meet we can pair folk up and then make bookings

so £107 becomes £53.50 each person for two nights

just throwing that out there

Good thought you were checking out already

In all honesty two days is needed to make it a comfortable and enjoyable trip

Down and up in one day = no
down friday and home saturday after event = cr@p and knackered

Down Friday, stay until sunday morning, then head up road = best solution

approx trip time including stopping is near enough 6 hours in real time

traveling 55-70mph on average

Ahh 1pm at keele is pretty late for the time they get there.
Did you not miss most of it last year?

Most had started leaving at around 2:30-3pm last time.

Staying the night before at Lymm services wasn't too bad last time.

Wish my car would be ready for this, maybe next year  I would come for a look around but all my time/money will be taken up working/paying for the build! I'm sure I'll see the pics and maybe the odd youtube video not that it makes up for not being there but that's life!

I really want to go to this event. I'm wondering whether to drive the car down or trailer it down.
Do we have a stand with allocated spaces etc??

Drive it, convoy ftw. Certain models are grouped together. But I'd imagine we'd try and park with the rest of the RT guys.

Stand?

its in a field bud, but no strict RT area, as no mods or dedicated clubs exist on here

RCOC have their hardcore unit with banners, t shirts etc

can parkl in model or any where you want really

its a first come first served basis in a lot of areas

this can be seen in the previous years image threads

drive it down for the road trip, trailor it down if your a garage queen and are looking to win the imaginary prizes ( ie none)

i would just be happy if every one so far attended tbh

man down ryan and craig wise

craig is a legend at night, comes alive tbh

convoy will be good, its good drive down tbh

will be the ZT Td or the octavia VRS

mac has raised a good point that i think will potentially work as long as room availability is ok

booked the full rate, flexiable rate, can cancel up to 1pm on the day of booking

Then keep checking, if price falls then, cancel existing booking then make a new booking

in therory this should work, but perhaps they have thought of this, and have safeguards in their system, as i cant imagine this hasnt been thought of before

but an excellent shout.

TBH Bromsgrove is the only choice of venue from my personal experience, and i for one, am happy to pay the higher rate, as i know its a tried and tested formula that we have stayed at on at least 4-5 times on average

Looks like I'll be staying there too then  but won't be able to book it just yet. Tax/New rad/ two tyres are on the list before it. Don't fancy a trip to brum with a see thru rad and tyres like Phil Mitchells heid
