When you say get it polished there are two things

Its the mirror steel you buy in a sheet or in whatever your making, eg tubing , etc etc. This does cost a bit more!!

We have various polishing tools etc, grainers and tbh looks cool - The spark plug covers do look 8)

:)

Anyway.........

Been busy

Image

A few battery trays and s/s engine covers

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Also been looking at the rad fan frame and as I mentioned making it out of stainless steel

Id be looking at £40 + pp for these as my materials go up quite a bit

I dont know how that falls with anyone

Im looking at the frame

Tbh lots of the bits at the bottom are notched etc too and I cant see a reason for it

The top is easy to notch, and its important for clearance from the std intercooler. Rover were a strange bunch

You want a tray then mate?

Looking at making myself a rear upper strut brace

Something like this, though it will probably be round tube across the middle, rather than the flatter type on this picture ive borrowed. The ends would be the same design though, and it would use the original nuts on the struts to secure it.

Image

I may make it out of stainless because I can :D but would anyone else be interested in these if I could make them?

Mild steel , sprayed say black or white, dependant on what we have

Maybe stainless steel, cost and interest dependant.

For a guess on price maybe £30 for the mild steel one and £50 for stainless. I'll see how it pans out at the weekend. 8)

I would be game for stainless, in keeping with the theme. I would be swayed a tad more if it ( and whatever else ) was eteched with a certain logo.

I am not saying brand them by the way, I would just like my versions to have a small RT logo etched to one side or such. I have to admit I find stainless for display purposes can be a bit bland if its a big space, like say the spark plug cover. I would cover the extra costs involved if it was sensible. :)

yeah I took onboard your logo idea last time and have made enquiries.

Waiting on a response. Luckily this person does it as a craft basis, and has no minimum orders etc, and would charge me a set fee irrelevant of the item

I'll let you know as and when

I'd be up for a rear upper brace too. Have you considered oval stainless steel - thats what Drew used on the ti braces and they looked a lot better that round tube.
