I am now in a position to make some of the custom speedo gauge surrounds.

Been able to find a good deal on materials, in order to make these pods. So subject to a surround being posted to me by the 'customer' to work on, i can now do these at £30 posted or £35 posted with a surround supplied by me.

It would be left unpainted, and left pretty smooth. Altho you may feel it needs a little filling (with body filler), after first priming it.

Not sure on a turn around, as it would be down to what spare time in evenings/weekends i get, due to work commitments.
I would hope to have the turn around in about 2 weeks, upon receiving the order or surround supplied.

I can assure any potential buyers, i will put my heart/soul into each one. Please bear in mind i am no professional at this game, but i think the results speak for them selves
Obviously a professional would be able to do the job upto a much higher standard then me, and probably a much higher price.

Cheers
Dave

Personally, i think it is a bit too tight on the right side to fit a gauge, could be wrong tho.
Not something i've looked much into really.

Cheers

I think that's fine pal. Jon can sort you out with a proper sale thread in the traders section and put you in the trader directory.

Unfortunately not.

The MK1 surround is rather bulbous, whereas the MK2 surround is flat in the bottom corners.

I have looked at a MK2 surround, but i don't think there is enough space behind to mount the gauge.

Cheers
Dave

BTW

Thanks Jon

To be honest it may be able to be made, but it will look like a barnacle stuck to a ship, as it needs to be built up outwards.

Cheers
