Does the Nissan manifold offer a near identical turbo positioning with that of the T series manifold? i.e. can you use the existing downpipe or does the Nissan manifold alter the turbo bositon too much?

Yep I echo that as well. As to get my GT30.64 I already had to file down a small amount of the front engine mount bracket to squeeze it in.

Thanks

Update:-

Drawing of new style flange. More meat added in various areas, holes enlarged by about 0.5mm and holes located within 0.01mm of the originals.

Order raised and paid for with the local company, the order is now on their shop floor waiting production.

There is a note for them to produce a 1st off in mild steel scrap so i can take it to a head and confirm everything clears and lines up nicely.

Will let you all know when the sample arrives.

Thanks for the patience guys.

you are suposed to bolt it down while welding tho the heat will warp the metal.

It will help but you will still need to get the flange skimmed after its done to be sure :)

mine was bent before welding and most places wont skim it when its welded on a tubular manifold, so would like it flat to begin with.

Fair1 altho you'd exspect some movemet/warping when welding any way :? but meh you got it sorted in the end :)

Take it to any engineering company with a horizontal borer to get it skimmed. If worse comes to worse I could probe do it in my dinner hour if you couldn't find anywhere to skim it

I am aware there was a small amount of warping on the last batch , i didnt mention it at the time.

I have asked this time for them to mess with the settings to either go faster and hotter, or slower and cooler to get the best effect, i dont think they will be perfect though as 10mm thick metal is always going to move somewhat with the amount of meat we are taking out , coupled with the heat of a laser.

On another note though if i supply them dead flat i cant see you getting it to weld safely without putting enough heat in to it to warp it either.

I will do my best for you though :)

Cheers lads.
