Best to see a finished and tested set anyway before offering the service to everyone else.

Why do we need drawings for anyway?

TAKEN ANDYS POST AND DUMPED IT ON HERE

As some of you are aware ,there has been a group buy on Rover Tech of some of these Rear Arms(Skunk 2).Its come to the attention that they do not fit the Coupe!!!.Basically the shock absorber bush is to large(50mm) and should be (40mm).I have looked at the Skunk arms and they can be Modified and still use the same bushes(split). This MOD can be done buy machineing the ally arms 5mm of each side and either/or, machining 5mm of the inside of the bushes or deepening the counterbore in the arm.The inner steel sleeves can also be reduced from 50mm long to 40mm long. There has been some speculation that the New(Skunk) arms are totally different to the old original ones,Therefore when fitted altering the whole Geometry of the car!!!!.So i decided to check and do some measuring. There are some Pictures and explanations below.

Image
Set up original, and inner/outer are on same center line

Image
Height same inner and outer!

Image
Therefore outer and inner are in line!!

Image
Aliitle drawing to explain the differance between the 2 types!

Image
As you can see from the drawing the outer boss to the shock boss varies by 3/4" which would alter the shock angle thus changing ride height (Very slightly)

Image
From my measurements i have concluded that the Skunk ones will fit ok when Modified.Al that you will need to do is spin the shock through 20 dgrees to slide over the bush!!!

Image

C&C Engineering can Modify theese @£30 a pair, in batches of up to 10. batches of 11 to 20 @£25 a pair that doesnt include postage!!

In the end i decided to leave the bushes as standard,so can just be replaced when worn!!!.Ive machined 4.25mm of the top faces and 4.25mm of the bush counter bore that still leaves approx 2mm of shoulder in the arm for extra strength!!!
If you want yours done to the same spec,either post to C&C Engineering,unit 7a,Runway Farm,Meer End rd,Honiley,Nr Kenilworth,CV8 1NQ.
Please put a note inside regarding who,s they are!!
Or if you want you can deliver/collect personally

Mart thanks for copying all the relevant info and pics onto here for everyone to digest.

As far as I can tell, we have three options to make these fit our cars.
1) DIY modify them as per PeteT16/ghall2004 instructions
2) DIY modify the shock lower fork as per VVC_MINI instructions
3) Have them machined to suit by C&C Engineering

The above three methods are documented in this thread.

The supplier has not come back with anything more than recognising they are not designed for Rover fitment and were not supplied as such; the Honda fitment info was based on the information in my original thread (link in OP). The supplier has seen this thread (you can see it without being logged-in) and not said anything more than they would give us a very good deal on any future orders for bits from them. They are not interested in dealing directly with the forum, I think for obvious reasons.

I've had a fair bit of grief over this GB from a few individuals so I'm not up for running any more. BazR has the supplier details and has said he'll look into what's next soon (I've forwarded on all the PMs from the guys who asked about other bits and gave positive feedback), so please watch out for that.

For reference I'll be getting mine modded by Andy at C&C soon.

Cheers
Rob.

Yes indeed. I have gathered a couple of suppliers to bounce off each other in order to try and get the best deal.

I was thinking the obvious choice is the camber kits for the rear. I will be getting an email after Christmas regarding what we can buy these for and what make me can get them in.

If we want to do a group buy, then we will. Dimensions, informations, this that and the other will also be made common knowledge before any purchasing is made. I will go as far as a CAD drawing to satisfy if needs be. There is no point be deterred by the arms issue in my opinion. We live, we learn, we move on to the next. It is entirely up to members at the end of the day and I am on standby once the information comes my way.

No doubt I will not know 'what is what' until the new year but in the meantime any other suggestions? The theory is if we lay foundations with suppliers for most bits it leaves that avenue open for people in the future without having to do all the homework.

Pete, I am not sure I can get them in silver but I will ask by all means. Afaik its gold, blue and red.

Black is what I am after but I see that the threaded hex can be unscrewed and possibly a change of colour can be done in the shed somehow.

*Workin' on it James
